Common Questions About Training With Me

  • Where do you train?
    Where ever you are, I come to you! If you live in the Duluth, MN area I will typically come to your home or business, and for everyone else I have an incredible virtual training studio where I train most of my clients from all over the country. In addition I've also worked hard developing a expansive video library for on the go training so you can get what you need no matter where you happen to be.
  • How much space / equipment do I need?
    Not that much! For most of my clients we work just fine in an area slightly larger than a yoga mat. I've trained in living rooms, spare bedrooms, or even foyers! Equipment is also fairly minimal. For new clients starting out I typically only require some yoga blocks, small weights, and a dowel, and you'll be amazed at how effectively we can use those simple tools. I also have a goodie bag full of interesting whoseits and whatnots that I may bring with me to in person sessions. For my longer term and more advanced clients, there isn't really a limit on what we can train with. I've spent my career applying principles of movement mechanics to various disciplines, so whatever moves you, we can get you moving!
  • Do you work with [person type x]?
    Short answer: You betcha. I work with anyone who wants to work and improve their understanding of their body and movement patterns. I've worked with everyone from teenagers who want to make varsity to 90 year old's who want to maintain their independence. I've coached professional athletes and lifelong couch potatoes. I've helped people come back from injuries and hit PRs.
  • Do you write programs?
    Absolutely. My clients that train with me 1x per week have 2 days of independent programing included, those that train 2x per week have 4 days included. What we train in sessions we practice in the interim, this creates logical progression sequences that move my clients forward.
